A new book, Not Expired, authored by Dr David Kabera Muthondeki, serves as an empowering guide for retirees seeking to transition into this new phase of their life with dignity and financial security.

The book addresses essential topics including retirement planning, financial management, and the emotional adjustments required during retirement. Dr Muthondeki offers practical strategies for effective financial planning, investment management, and coping with the psychological challenges of retirement.

The author emphasizes the significance of writing a will and provides detailed guidelines to ensure that personal wishes are honoured. Additionally, insights specific to Kenyan national police officers regarding retirement options and compensation are included.

The book features a retirement assessment tool to help readers evaluate their dreams and plan effectively. With contributions from professionals and real-life stories, Not Expired, is a vital resource for anyone aiming to enhance their post-retirement experience.

Dr Muthondeki is a senior police officer, currently the Deputy Regional Commander, Administration Police Service (APS) North Eastern and a certified and accredited counseling psychologist. He is also a former head of Counseling Psychology Department in Administration Police Service.

Dr Muthondeki is a researcher, trainer, part-time lecturer at different universities in security, peace and conflict, governance, leadership and psychology. He is also a coach, an accredited senior supervisor in mental health and mentor in areas of mental health and leadership.

He is also a supervisor for post-graduate students and has been both internal and external examiner at Kenyatta University and African Nazarene University.

He holds a BA and MA in Counselling Psychology , MSC in Governance Peace and Security and a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies.

He has a diploma in Forensic and Criminal investigation, Advanced Diploma in Metal Health and Practice ( Amref University and Chiromo Hospital) and Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Management.

He has both local and international practical trainings in peace keeping operations and conflict resolution and has attended various courses including training in Egypt at Mubarak Police Academy Research Center of Conflict Resolution, 2008; Operational Management by USA Marine 2008; Training in Course Design in College of Policing International Academy, Bramshill,UK.

He has published papers in peer reviewed journals in areas of security sector reforms, policing and conflicts resolutions and he is an accomplished author who has two books; namely Not Expired and King David and His Mighty Men.
